WAVE TOOLS LANCE COLLINS ELI TWIN PIN COLLABORATION WITH GREG WEAVER AIRBRUSH

LAST WEEK I WENT UP TO NEWPORT TO MEET LANCE COLLINS OF WAVE TOOLS ... AFTER A LOT OF GOOD STORIES AND MORE THAN 30 YEARS OF DESIGN AND EXPERIMENT TALK WE GRABBED A BLANK TWEAKED A FEW THINGS ON THE BOTTOM AND RAILS OF MY ELI TWIN PIN MIRANDON FISH AND CUT ONE OFF THE COMPUTER BY MID DAY. I SHAPED IT UP IN HIS BAY AND THEN WE CALLED GREG WEAVER OVER. THE TWO OF US THOUGH OF A DESIGN, PATTERN AND COLOR FOR THE AIRBRUSH AND BY THAT NIGHT WE WERE ALL DONE... now its ready for glassing ...

weaver has told me some great stories about my dad when he used to live in a beach house on capistrano beach with ron stoner and others ...

Come down to the Hurley warehouse on Friday August 28, 2009, 6 to 10 pm to celebrate the surfing and rambling life of legend Greg Weaver, star of the documentary, "Chasing the Lotus." On hand will be many of his art works, photos and movies, created during one of surf cultures' greatest eras of exploration. Along with his travel mate, Spyder Wills, Greg will be signing posters and DVDs of "Chasing the Lotus" and many of his photos/art work will be available for purchase. Surf travel photos from the '60s and '70s, California, Cabo San Lucas, Mauritius, Bali, Costa Rica, South Africa, Reunion Island, Kauai, Maui, North Shore/Westside Oahu and more.
