california gold at blacks




i took the new type T down to blacks for its first time last week. i pretty much shaped it for blacks so when i saw the swell i knew which board to take and where i was going. it was an exciting morning. it was also the coldest morning pre dawn session and 2 - 4 feet overhead and offshore without a cloud in the sky. truly an amazing morning.

i mounted a flash and radio to the nose of my board so josh could shoot this shot from the land the flash would go off at the same time he shot the photo. it made the nose of the board a little heavy and hard to surf sometimes, but an interesting result and lighting ...
